Swangz Avenue singer Vinka has made a candid confession, revealing that her past experience in artist management has left her with no desire to return to the profession.
Speaking during an interview with a local television station, Vinka described artist management as one of the most emotionally and financially demanding roles in the music industry, saying the sacrifices often outweigh the rewards.
According to the singer, one of the biggest challenges is the lack of loyalty and appreciation from some artistes despite the investment made in their careers.
"I am afraid of managing human beings—especially artistes. It's hard and very disappointing. You invest so much in someone, and they don't value it," she explained.
Vinka's remarks have sparked conversations among music fans and industry stakeholders about the challenges of artist management and the risks involved in investing in talent.
Before launching her successful music career, Vinka worked as an artist manager at Swangz Avenue, where she managed artistes including Irene Ntale and Black Skin.
