Fire Guts Uganda's Biggest Pork Joint

Kabagarame Market which is known as a one-stop centre for all types of pork in Bushenyi is no more.

Fire blazed the establishment yesterday afternoon leaving many traders counting losses as almost all their businesses were destroyed.

The cause of the fire has not yet been established.

Our snoop talked to one of the people at the scene, and this is what he had to say, "The fire has destroyed everything. We saw our businesses burning to nothing and we could not do anything because we did not have any equipment to use. The fire brigade did not help us.  We need help from the concerned authorities. Some of us have loans from different banks"

However, some of the people used water and sand to save some of their property.
