Yvonne Oyo Vena, 28, a resident of Bweyogerere Kigandaazi zone, hit Zion Ssendagire, 9, a son of her co-wife, with a stool on the head killing him instantly.
Yvonne is alleged to have wrapped the body and transported it to Ziroobwe - Kaleerwe, Luweero District for burial without anyone's knowledge.
Our snoops learnt that on murdering the victim, Yvonne called up her close friend who assisted her to transport the body to Ggwatiro Hospital in Bweyogerere.
When the doctor discovered the manner in which the victim faced his death, he declined to render any professional help.
Yvonne was left with one option, to take the body back home. It was at this point that she hatched a plan to transport the body to her husband’s village in Zirobwe.
Constance Kisaka, a mother to the victim on learning what had happened to her son, said, "I tried to search very where for my son but failed miserably because even my husband’s contacts that I previously had were all switched off until when called me to bury my son. When I asked him what he had died of, he simply told me it was due to severe malaria. I was only able to know the truth when the police came and explained the circumstances surrounding his death."
As burial arrangements were ongoing, announcements were passed on barring anyone from viewing the whole body but only the face.
Bweyogerere Police headed by ASP Karim Magid received reliable information about the murder and followed the suspect to Ziroobwe where they found the burial underway and decided to halt it until a postmortem is done.
The postmortem was done and it confirmed that the victim was tortured as they discovered serious injuries on the head, nose, stomach, chest and strokes of canes on the entire body.
When Police searched the home of Henry Kasirye, the father to the deceased, they recovered the deceased’s clothes with bloodstains and the murder weapon, a stool commonly known as "Malaya Asiika".
Henry Kasirye and his wife, Oyo Vena Yvonne have been arrested and are now under police custody.
