International Women’s Day celebrations taken to Mityana

Uganda will on Thursday 8th March 2018 join the rest of the world to commemorate the international women’s day.

The national celebration will be held under the theme; “Empowerment of Rural women and Girls: opportunities and challenges.”

The day’s activities will be held at Busuubizi Core Primary Teachers college, Mityana District.

Accordingly, President Yoweri Museveni will be the chief guest. While all districts and the Kampala Capital City Authority, KCCA have been advised to observe the day under the same theme.
