A nurse from Kagadi General Hospital in Kagadi District who was found dead in her private drug shop died of a heart attack, a medical report from Mulago National Referral hospital has indicated that

60-year-old Peruse Banura who has been working in the male ward at Kagadi General Hospital was over the weekend found dead in her private drug shop in Nyankoma village, Galiboleka Sub County.

The incident caused speculations over her death.

This forced the family to take the body to Mulago National Referral hospital to ascertain what could have killed her.

While speaking to mourners during special prayers for the departed Nurse on Wednesday afternoon at St. Luke’s church of Uganda in Kagadi town, Dr Aidah Kenseko a relative to the deceased noted that the postmortem report, was clear that Banura died after some of her vessels transporting blood to the heart  got narrowed.

She added that this should end speculation about the sudden death of Nurse Peruse Banura.

The acting Kagadi District Health Officer Theodora Kajumba described nurse Banura as a hard working civil servant.

According to Rev. Patrick Musinguzi the Vicar of St. Luke’s C.O.U parish, the deceased was a God-loving Christian who supported the Anglican Church with one heart.
The body of Peruse Banura will be laid to rest today Thursday in Kabarole district.
