Eddy Kenzo's girlfriend, and Junior Minister for Energy and Minerals, Phiona Nyamutoro, has made a bold move to contest for the Nebbi District Woman MP position.
The current National Youth Member of Parliament took to her X account and went public about her aspirations for the position.
Nyamutoro expressed her readiness to represent the women of Nebbi district in parliament as she wished mothers a happy day.
"Nebbi has mothered many great and significant citizens for our nation, and now it's time for her to shine. Happy Mother's Day," she wrote, attaching her campaign poster.
Her followers, including the current Woman Member of Parliament for Kitgum district, Lillian Aber, praised her for the bold step.
"Oyeeeeee! Nebbi, here we come!" she wrote.
Nyamutoro, however, will be facing stiff competition from the incumbent Agnes Acibu of the ruling party, who is still interested in the position.
