Socialite Zari Hassan says she would rather walk away from her marriage than engage in public fights with other women over her husband, Shakib Cham.
Speaking during a recent Master Class session hosted by Infotrust CEO Miriam Tarinyeba Tusubira and JB’s Tailored CEO JB Halera, Zari said she has no intention of participating in scandals involving women fighting over men.
Zari, who has had a reportedly turbulent relationship with Shakib amid past allegations of infidelity, said she would leave the marriage if her husband chose to pursue other women rather than engage in public confrontations.
“Those scandals involving other women fighting for men are not for me. If my husband decides to take that route, then it is well, but I won’t be part of it; I will leave him,” she said.
The socialite further revealed that she has discussed her position with Shakib, making it clear that protecting her personal brand remains a priority.
Zari explained that her public image is closely tied to her work and business interests, and she expects her husband to respect that by avoiding situations that could damage her reputation.
“I have told my husband that I will choose my brand over and over again because if he really loves me, he won’t put my brand in any mess. If he has a heart for me and knows that it is the job that pays me, he won’t associate with anything dramatic that affects my brand. At the end of the day, we are old enough to make our decisions,” she added.
