The COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown brought about incredibly difficult challenges for many businesses; most of them closed, while others are still struggling today.
Among those affected by the lockdown was musician Recho Rey, who lost her management team at the time.
She had to go through depression as she was neither releasing music nor performing, and poverty struck her severely.
The singer says that while battling all those issues, she thought about quitting music, and it took interventions from different people for her to return.
"I almost gave up on music in 2020. It was the most difficult year I have ever faced. The lockdown affected me deeply because I was not releasing music, not performing; I was broke and lost all my management team. It was almost the end of my career, but I'm grateful to different people who came through for me," she explained in an interview with a local television station.
The female rapper, however, says she is doing well at the moment and has no regrets. She has also overcome depression and other struggles.
