In a recent interview, musician Bebe Cool opened up about the particular reason he separated from Bobi Wine.
Bebe Cool explained that he separated from Bobi Wine because Bobi Wine insulted him when Bebe Cool was having issues with his wife, Zuena. He says that instead of being helped when he reached out to Barbie, Bobi Wine insulted him in return.
"What really separated me from Bobi Wine was something personal. Barbie used to 'kunoba' and come to my home. But when Zuena left me and went back to her parents’ home, I reached out to Barbie for help. I thought, as a friend to my wife, she would speak to her and help us sort things out. But when Barbie told Bobi Wine about it, instead of helping, he turned around and started insulting me. I was simply asking for help from a friend. Since our families were close, I truly thought they would help me, but it turned out to be the opposite," he explained, addressing challenges faced by married couples during marriage.
However, Bobi Wine's longtime friend and faded musician Kabaya has come to Bobi Wine's rescue, revealing that the Gagamel boss lied about Barbie Kyagulanyi going to his place for reconciliation with the Firebase head whenever they had misunderstandings.
He explained that Bebe Cool is a liar and a trouble causer who often found himself in misunderstandings with Zuena, and the wife would seek refuge at Bobi Wine's home because she was friends with Barbie.
"Bebe Cool is always a liar and a trouble causer. He lied about Barbie going to his place. She has never stepped into his house. It's Zuena who used to go to Bobi Wine's place whenever she had issues with her husband," he explained.
Kabaya also adds that the two separated following a music show organized by both of them, but Bobi Wine never received his share of the proceeds as per their agreement.
"He has long survived by lies. They separated because he refused to share money with Bobi Wine following a successful event they organized together in Kampala," he added.
