Musician-turned-critic Kazibwe Kapo has launched a scathing attack on Ronald Mayinja, accusing him of betraying Robert Kyagulanyi for money.
This comes after Mayinja revealed he left the National Unity Platform following disagreements over a parliamentary ticket in Gomba.
Kazibwe Kapo, however, dismissed Mayinja’s claims and instead alleged that the veteran musician was financially influenced to turn against the party and its leader.
“He betrayed him for money and nothing more than that,” Kazibwe said.
He expressed shock at Mayinja’s stance, noting that his relationship with Bobi Wine went beyond music and was rooted in a long-standing personal friendship.
“Their relationship was beyond music—it was a personal friendship which comes a long way. It was shocking to see him make those accusations,” he added.
Kazibwe’s remarks have added fuel to the already heated political and entertainment debate, with fans divided over who to believe in the ongoing fallout.
