Musician Moses Ssali, popularly known as Bebe Cool, has made it clear that he has no interest in working directly in government, saying he prefers to work alongside it instead.

Speaking in an interview with a local radio station, Bebe Cool revealed that he turned down a ministerial appointment from President Yoweri Museveni a few years ago because he does not want to actively participate in politics.

The Gagamel boss further disclosed that the ministerial position was not the only government offer he has rejected, adding that he has also turned down ambassadorial appointments in the past.

“I don’t want to actively participate in politics, and I have rejected offers before to join government. I was contacted for a ministerial position, and in my meeting with the President, I rejected it. Even the ambassadorial position, I turned it down,” he partly explained.

Bebe Cool added that in his view, working with the government from the outside can be more beneficial than being directly involved, as it opens doors to contracts and other opportunities.
