Sanyuka TV presenter Haffy Powers has sparked widespread debate on social media after advising women to leave relationships when a man loses his financial stability.
Speaking during a live discussion on Sanyuka TV alongside fellow presenter Sandra Lian, Haffy argued that marriages in which a once financially stable man becomes broke rarely survive the resulting challenges.
According to Haffy, women should recognize the signs early and make the difficult decision to move on.
"I have always told my friends and my audience that when a man who once had money becomes broke, that marriage rarely lasts. Women should know when it's time to leave," she stated.
Sandra Lian echoed Haffy's sentiments, suggesting that financial hardship can affect a man's confidence and his ability to lead his family.
"When a man has nothing to put on the table, he starts feeling insecure. It becomes difficult for him to lead because he feels he has nothing to offer," Sandra noted.
The comments have since triggered mixed reactions online, with some social media users agreeing that financial stress can strain relationships, while others criticized the presenters, arguing that marriage should be built on commitment through both good and difficult times.
