A 40-year-old David Batwaula, and a resident of Kasozi village in Makutu Sub County in Iganga district is in Police coolers after mercilessly poisoning and killing his own children.
Reports reaching our News desk indicate that the killer father was rounded up on Sunday in connection with the death the two little souls identified as 9-year-old Bosco Batwaula and 14-year-old Dorothy Batwaula.
According to Sofia Nabusi Nalongo, the Officer in Charge of Criminal Intelligence and Investigations Department at Iganga Central Police Station, the lifeless bodies of the children were discovered by other children who had gone to play with them lying on a mat.
Dorothy and Bosco have been staying with their father since he broke up with their mother, and he has been involved in a series of police cases, including starving the innocent children.
LC1 chairperson Kasozi village Adam Dilese, says Batwaula has been mistreating the children, but had changed behavior when a team of children affairs officials and International Federation of Women Lawyers-FIDA Uganda led by Mwosi Mugabi intervened.
Nabusi says the bodies have been handed over to Iganga hospital for postmortem as investigations continue.
