Several people claimed that he had been paid to support NRM.

But the singer rubbished the claims saying he only associates with President Museveni because he bailed him out when he was stranded in the Ivory Coast after the global outbreak of Covid-19.

Kenzo confirmed he is not affiliated with NRM or the Muhoozi Project but only associates with people in those respective circles because they are his friends.

"I will never rally support for anyone. I am not associated with NRM or Muhoozi Project. Some of those people are just good friends and I can't stop that," he said.

He went ahead to criticize musicians who preach political propaganda within the music industry.

"This is our work. If you have a chance to sing for those people, go and make money. It is not about making the political propagandists happy while you starve in your industry. They should stop politicizing everything," he added.
