Musician, producer, and songwriter Eddy Yawe has been involved in politics even before his brother, Bobi Wine.
Yawe previously contested for the Kira Municipality MP position on the Democratic Party ticket in 2011.
In 2021, after meetings with NUP President Bobi Wine, who is also his brother, he chose not to vie for the position and instead supported the party’s candidate.
However, he has now announced his bid for the municipality seat and revealed that he will contest on the National Unity Platform (NUP) ticket.
He is determined to unseat outspoken FDC stalwart Ibrahim Ssemujju from parliament.
