Celebrated legal mind and career politician Medard Sseggona has expressed interest in the position of the Presidency for the National Unity Platform.
Addressing residents in Wakiso District, Sseggona revealed he will be contesting for the position at the end of Bobi Wine's term.
He explained that as leaders of the National Unity Platform, they agreed to allow Bobi Wine to serve as the Party President for ten years and that he would not seek re-election.
The Busiro East MP says he is very ready to take on the leadership position in the National Unity Platform and is taking his time to allow Bobi Wine to serve his two terms.
"After Kyagulanyi serves his two terms as we agreed for the position of President, the next President for the National Unity Platform will be coming from Busiro, and it's me," he explained.
Sseggona, however, says he is currently focused on going to Parliament next year on the National Unity Platform ticket.
He will, however, face competition from Kadongo Kamu artiste Mathias Walukaaga.
