Music stars Jose Chameleone, Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool are widely regarded as the pioneers of the modern Ugandan music industry, having dominated the scene for nearly two decades.
Despite the rise of a new generation of artists, the trio continues to command massive influence among industry stakeholders and music lovers across the country.
Singer Geosteady has now come out to admit that he has personally learnt valuable lessons from all three legends, saying their influence has played a big role in shaping his career.
Speaking in an interview with a local YouTuber, Geosteady revealed what he admires most about each of them.
“I am a very big fan of Chameleone mostly because of his music. He is the best among all. I can’t stop listening to his songs because of the different life stories. Bobi Wine inspires me when it comes to financial investment and healthy competition, he understood that very well. On Bebe Cool, I like the way he handles family matters. Different people learn a lot from him,” Geosteady said.
Geosteady added that the three artists have inspired countless musicians to join the industry, and that a big percentage of today’s active artists grew up looking up to them.
The “Big Three” remain cultural icons whose impact on Ugandan music goes far beyond charts and awards.
