The Uganda Christian University (UCU) community remains in deep shock following the brutal killing of its Dean of Students, Pamela Tumwebaze, who was attacked at her home in Mukono.
Dark clouds continue to hover over the campus as students, lecturers, alumni, and staff struggle to come to terms with the tragic loss of one of their own.
Initial reports indicated that unknown thugs broke into her residence during the night, violently assaulted her, and left her with critical injuries. She was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment but sadly succumbed to her wounds.
However, fresh details emerging from Daily Monitor paint an even more disturbing picture of the incident.
According to the report, the suspect allegedly hid inside the house, waited for the family to fall asleep, and then attacked Pamela Tumwebaze. Shockingly, the killer is said to have left the scene wearing her dress, raising more questions about the motive and circumstances surrounding the murder.
The report further reveals that the attacker appeared to be targeting only her, as no other occupants of the house were harmed.
Security agencies are still investigating the incident, as the university and the general public continue to demand justice for the fallen academic, who was widely respected for her dedication to student welfare and mentorship.
