Musician Eddy Kenzo has earned praise from many people after attending the burial of Hajjati Hanifah Kibirige, the mother of Dr. Hamza Ssebunya.
Hajjati Hanifah passed away on May 29, 2026, and was laid to rest in Mukono, where family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to pay their final respects.
Kenzo was among the mourners who attended the burial ceremony, standing in solidarity with Dr. Hamza Ssebunya and his family during their time of grief.
His presence attracted public attention given his past relationship with singer Rema Namakula, who is now married to Dr. Hamza. Over the years, Kenzo and Hamza have occasionally displayed a cordial relationship in public, though some observers questioned the sincerity of their interactions.
By attending the burial, Kenzo demonstrated support for the bereaved family and joined hundreds of mourners in honoring the life of the deceased.
The gesture was widely interpreted as a sign of maturity, respect, and compassion during a difficult moment for the family.
