Gossip monger Kasuku has made a bold prediction about the future of Western Uganda's music sensation Ray G, tipping him to become the biggest musician in the country within the next two to three years.
Kasuku believes Ray G's growing popularity, combined with his calculated approach to music and personal branding, could see him eventually take over Uganda's music scene.
Speaking during a discussion with a fellow YouTuber, Kasuku warned that other musicians, particularly those from Central Uganda, could find it difficult to reclaim the top spot once Ray G establishes himself nationally.
“He knows what he's doing, so don't be shocked in two or three years when he's the biggest artist in the country. It might take Central artists a lot of time to remove him because he's intentional about whatever he's doing,” he partly said.
‘He Has Branded Himself Well’
Kasuku also praised Ray G for carefully building his public image, arguing that his reserved personality has helped strengthen his appeal.
Unlike some artistes who regularly dominate headlines because of controversies, Kasuku noted that Ray G tends to keep a low profile while allowing his music and performances to speak for him.
“He has branded himself well and treats himself like a star. He is less chatty and keeps himself reserved,” he added.
Ray G's growing national profile has already sparked conversations about whether a Western Ugandan artiste can eventually dominate a music industry traditionally led by artistes from Central Uganda.
