He is a British actor of Ugandan Origin and the first Ugandan to get nominated in the prestigious Oscars for his role in the hit horror film, "Get Out."
The 28 year old Ugandan faces strong competition from established hollywood stars like Denzel Washington and Daniel Day Lewis.
Kaluuya's career has been growing from strength to strength and he has already received a Bafta and Golden Globe Nominations for his role in horror film, A dark satire on race relations in the United States.
Kuluuya wrote his first play at nine. His major breakthrough came when he joined Gritty British Teen Drama Skins as a staff writer aged 18.
After the nomination, Kaluuya said, " “I feel what the film’s done is articulate an experience. It’s a touchstone where people can go, ‘Yeah, this,’ and feel like they aren’t crazy but I can’t say it’s changed the political landscape".
Kaluuya has previously appeared in the sci-fi anthology series Black Mirror, Channel 4's Skins and the famous "Johnny English Reborn by Rowan Atkinson, "Mr Bean" as agent Tucker."
His only leading role has been in horror film "Get out"
