A 'street graduate', who has gone on to feed the world with his mesmerising tunes cannot forget his roots.
While on his trip to Kabwohe where he had travelled to perform, singer Eddie Kenzo donated clothes and money to the street kids he came across along the streets of Kabwohe, Sheema district.
He took to his social platforms and posted, "About last night in Kabwohe… prior to my Show, I saw these young Boys walking on the streets alone, that made me stop so I could find out why!! As you can see they are still very young and I was surprised to see them out late at night … during my conversation with them, I found out that they don’t have a home and that they were feeling very cold. Unfortunately, I didn’t have much with me but I decided to give them the clothes I did have regardless of them being oversized … in no way shape or form am I trying to show off by sharing this clip but I just want to remind you as fellow citizens that we still have a long way to go and many people who are in need! As a former street kid, I feel so responsible since I know exactly how it feels and what a hustle it is. With that being said, please let us keep in mind that there are so many innocent young street children in and outside of Kampala that desperately need our help so let us all try our best to do so. May the almighty be with them Always”.
It is remembered that Eddy Kenzo, who is now a multi-millionaire started out on the streets of Kampala. He used to sleep in the trenches of Nakivubo.
Well, thanks Eddy Kenzo for the big heart.
