Ugandan musician Moses Saali, popularly known as Bebe Cool, is once again at the center of political controversy following a heated exchange with opposition supporters.
The singer has recently intensified his public criticism of Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine, who is challenging President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for the country’s top office in the 2026 elections.
However, Bebe Cool’s political commentary has drawn strong backlash from several members of the opposition, including Ali Mulyanyama, a candidate for Makindye East Division in Kampala, who has launched a fierce verbal attack on the Gagamel boss.
Mulyanyama argues that Bebe Cool has failed to build an independent legacy and claims the artist survives on the influence and support of the President and his family background.
“Unlike Bebe Cool, Bobi Wine is self-made. Bebe Cool is nothing and surviving on his father’s legacy. He has failed to establish himself as a person and for years he is living on the mercy of his father and President Museveni,” Mulyanyama stated.
The remarks have already intensified the ongoing rivalry between political camps, particularly as the country moves closer to a tense election period.
Bebe Cool has not yet publicly responded to Mulyanyama’s latest comments.
