Dancehall singer Karole Kasita has opened up about the emotional toll she experienced following the backlash surrounding her “Power Within” concert at Serena Hotel.
Despite attracting a strong turnout, Kasita revealed that the aftermath of the concert was difficult, with criticism directed at her performance and some collaborators failing to show up despite earlier arrangements.
She also faced claims from some fans who alleged that they had been cheated, adding to the pressure surrounding the event.
“My concert left me so traumatized because people said a lot of harsh things to me about my concert. Sometimes I would even wake up in the middle of the night randomly because I heard voices. Everyone was saying whatever they wanted to say,” she partly said.
‘My Vacation Helped Me Heal’
Kasita said the experience affected her deeply, prompting her to take a break from the environment and travel to Paris to clear her mind and process what had happened.
The singer returned to Uganda weeks ago, saying the trip gave her the opportunity to heal and regain her energy.
“But thank God I walked through that. My vacation helped me to heal completely from whatever was going on around me. Now I'm here fresh,” she added.
Kasita is now looking forward to reconnecting with her fans and moving forward from the difficult chapter surrounding her concert.
