Members of the Uganda Peoples’ Congress, UPC will this afternoon converge at the party head offices, Uganda House where the body of Late Comrade Maj. Edward Rurangaranga will be brought from 2pm to 4pm for Party members and the general public to pay their last respects.
According to a harmonized burial program, released by Andrew Omara, from the UPC National Secretariat, Rurangaranga will be accorded a state burial.
The body will tomorrow Thursday lie in state and a special session will be held at Parliament to eulogize him.
On Friday, a Church funeral service will be held at 9am and later the casket will be airlifted to his ancestral home in Kikagata Sheema.
Rurangaranga will then be buried on Saturday August 5th.
Omara urged all UPC members and the general public to converge at the Uganda house today at 2pm, to pay respect to the historical.
