The Police in Nasana have arrested two suspects and recovered a suspected stolen motor vehicle.

The Police in Nasana have arrested two suspects and recovered a suspected stolen motor vehicle.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango says they received information that the suspects had parked the car and a motorcycle at Gganda while pretending to repair the motor vehicle. 

A team of Police Officers rushed to the scene and arrested two suspects while two others managed to escape. 

Onyango add that owner of the vehicle identified as Jjingo Henry a resident of Mpambire village in Mpigi district also came to the scene and noted that his car registration number UAP 717S, Premio grey in colour was stolen on 30/11/2022 by unknown persons and at an unknown time from his home.

Jjingo claims that he parked his vehicle outside his home on the fateful day at around 0540hrs but when he woke up, it had been stolen by unknown persons. 

The suspects, four in number allegedly stole the vehicle and brought it up to Gganda village in Wakiso district. 

Onyango says that two suspects managed to escape using a motorcycle. Those arrested have been identified as Ssewayana Richard and Bukenya Geoffrey both residents of Nabbingo, Kyengera town council.
