Police in KMP South and Katwe Division, have arrested Biira Joy a resident of Nabisalu Wasswa Zone, Makindye division, for the alleged murder of her husband, Baluku Benson.
It is alleged that Baluku returned home drunk on the 26.03.2023, and attacked his wife whom he accused of having extra marital affairs.
SCP Enanga Fred the police spokesperson says that Biira allegedly cut off her husband’s genitals during a domestic altercation.
The deceased purportedly grabbed Biira by the neck and strangled her, prompting her to draw a knife and sever his genitals.
“The incident is another reminder that Domestic Violence is real and life threatening. It further shows how rage and anger among spouses, causes them to lose respect for each other. We would like to remind all spouses living in conflict, to always seek help on how to resolve their family differences,” says Enanga.
