On Thursday night, Bebe Cool hosted the listener's party for his highly anticipated "Break the Chains" album, which dropped this morning.
The party, which took place at Noni Vie in Kampala, brought together different artists, media, and other stakeholders.
Among the artists present were Azawi, Cindy, Alien Skin, Juliana Kanyomozi, A Pass, and Chameleone, among others. All of them responded to Bebe Cool's invitation.
However, Eddy Kenzo was a no-show at the event. It's alleged he received the invitation from the Gagamel boss but chose to ignore it for personal reasons.
It's alleged Eddy Kenzo felt betrayed by Bebe Cool when he chose to defend Diamond Platnumz and instead shifted blame to Kenzo and other local artists. Bebe Cool asked local stars to improve their branding and bargaining power instead of "crying crocodile tears" over the 750 million shillings paid to Diamond.
His stance didn't sit well with Kenzo, who chose not to endorse his album, which is targeting an international audience.
