Controversial politician and former presidential candidate Mubarak Munyagwa has issued a fiery warning to the National Unity Platform (NUP), vowing to retaliate if the party continues to attack him on social media.
Munyagwa is currently locked in a heated online war with the NUP brigade, a clash that has now lasted for over a week. Singer King Saha has been leading the charge on the NUP side, with both camps trading insults and accusations in public.
According to Munyagwa, the attacks are not random, as he believes they are being orchestrated by NUP president Bobi Wine himself.
The outspoken politician claims Bobi Wine is using his supporters to launch coordinated verbal assaults against him.
“I will finish off NUP. They are surviving on attacking everyone and I will retaliate. I will go after their leader. He is the one commanding them and I will present evidence that will finish him off,” Munyagwa said.
Munyagwa further warned that he is ready to take the battle directly to Bobi Wine, whom he accuses of hiding behind his supporters while fueling the attacks.
He added that the opposition in Uganda can only thrive once NUP is dismantled, claiming the party has brought more division than solutions.
The explosive remarks have once again stirred massive debate online, with NUP supporters dismissing Munyagwa’s threats as empty noise, while others see the ongoing drama as yet another sign of growing tensions within Uganda’s opposition politics.
