Singer Geoffrey Kigozi alias Geosteady is one of the gifted artists in Uganda. His persistence and his strategic collaboration with Rwandan singers, Nina and Charly gave him an edge in Uganda’s music industry. We must say 2017 was an amazing year for him.
His fully-packed show at Imperial Royale, as well as his recently concluded ‘Dine with Geosteady’ show at Protea Hotel, graduated him into the league of Uganda’s musical bigwigs.
From the look of things, his 2018 is starting on the same high note. We have learned that the “Owoma” star will grace the first Unplugged Sn 2 show of 2018 at Liquid Silk Naalya on Wednesday 3rd January 2018.
His selection as the first artists to be unplugged in 2018, therefore, comes as no surprise at all to us. This has been a long time coming.
Geosteady started off his musical career as Eddy Kenzo's songwriters and back up artist. Since launching his solo career, his soothing voice and Afro-beat genre, have endeared him to many Ugandans - both young and old audiences.
Of course, Afrigo Band left very big shoes to fill with their 27th December spectacular unplugged finale for 2017.
However, if Geosteady’s recent performances are anything to go by; we expect a show as lit as any other unplugged session in 2017.
