SK Mbuga might be a man with deep pockets but it looks like he doesn’t have the muscle to sustain his TV station anymore.

Howwe has learned from sources that employees at STV station were ordered to lay down their tools on Friday. And some equipment was taken from the studio to his home.

“They just verbally told us to stop working. No official communication or letter was given to the staff. Our working conditions were not the best and now we are back to nothing,” a source informed us.

It is also reported that some staff members have not been paid for many months.

When SK Mbuga was contacted, he denied closing the business. He explained he is only revamping the station and he’ll bounce back.

“I don’t do my business in media but if you may need to know, I am not like other media stations. I am revamping the station. Even the Uganda Communications Commission was here to see us through the process,” he said.
