Legendary musician Jamal has several songs that continue to be popular even in his absence. His music has continued to dominate the airwaves years after its release.
The singer has now advised young artists about the "magic bullet." He called upon them to write their own songs in order to create legendary hits.
According to Jamal, a legendary song can only be built through emotion. He explained that a writer creates a song based on their feelings, and these feelings are conveyed to audiences who share similar experiences.
"A writer creates a song based on how they feel. What you sing should be your story. There are people out there who will love the song because they share the same story with you. But most people don’t do that these days. If you want to create a legendary song, you have to write it yourself," he explained in an interview with a local television station.
Jamal has released songs like "Obawuwo," "Anavawa," "Abakyala bazila," "Omusomesa," "Onosonyiwa," and "Sooka Osabe," among others.
