Alex Luswa Luwemba still feels the pain of being denied the National Unity Platform (NUP) party ticket to contest in the past Kawempe North by-elections.
He has continued to speak harshly about the National Unity Platform and is not ready to give up.
Luwemba now claims that artistes in the National Unity Platform will not be given party tickets in their respective constituencies, revealing that they are broke.
He alleges that within the National Unity Platform, the highest bidder takes it all, claiming artistes are broke and lack the financial means to outcompete their rivals.
"Those artistes should be cautious as they enter politics. I know NUP more than all of them; they will not be given tickets because they are broke. At NUP, the motto is 'the highest bidder takes it all.' I have warned them in advance," he explained in an interview with a local television station.
Luwemba specifically mentioned Nina Roz, Big Eye, and comedian Reign. He also cautioned them against spending too much on campaigns, suggesting they save some money for the future in case they lose the elections.
However, he says others like Geoffrey Lutaaya, Hilderman, and manager Kayemba Solomon will be given party tickets because they have cash, on the basis that they are already serving Members of Parliament.
