Joel Ssenyonyi, the Leader of the Opposition, has officially become a practicing advocate in Uganda.

Ssenyonyi shared his excitement on X, celebrating the end of a long journey. He explained that becoming a practicing advocate is a lengthy process, which includes completing a law degree and a program at the Law Development Centre (LDC).

The final step, he noted, is "Enrolment—getting your name entered into the roll of advocates so you can represent clients in court.”

“This morning, I finished the last lap and enrolled after numerous lengthy procedures,” he wrote. He humorously added, “So if you need Counsel to represent you, just holla.”

This achievement is a major milestone for Ssenyonyi, who can now officially represent clients in court, a goal he reached through years of persistence in the legal field.
