Musician Martha Mukisa, who welcomed a child earlier this year, has shared the reasons behind her decision to embrace motherhood in the middle of her career.
In a recent television interview, the singer revealed that she got pregnant unexpectedly but chose to welcome the child because she felt it was the right time.
Mukisa, who is currently thirty years old, explained that becoming a mother at this age felt like the right choice.
"Pregnancy came and I had to embrace it. It was also the right time to do so because I am thirty years old. I believe it is the right thing to do for someone who is thirty," she explained.
The singer, who has spent most of the year away from the stage, stated that she has resumed performing and promoters should book her for shows.
She says motherhood has brought her satisfaction, peace, and love. She enjoys it every day and the experience has given her a much-needed six-month break from the stage.
