Minister of State for Minerals Phiona Nyamutoro has spoken out about her close relationship with award-winning singer Eddy Kenzo, describing him as a blessing and a pillar of support in her political journey.
Kenzo has been camped in West Nile, particularly Nebbi District, conducting door-to-door campaigns and performing at several events to rally support for Nyamutoro and President Yoweri Museveni.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, Nyamutoro expressed gratitude for Kenzo’s continued support, revealing that the Big Talent boss has believed in her since long before she joined Parliament.
“We have always been like that. He has always been pushing me — even before I joined Parliament, he supported me,” Nyamutoro said. “It’s good to associate with someone who supports you wholeheartedly. He is truly a blessing, someone who wants to see you achieve your dreams.”
Nyamutoro’s remarks come as the two continue to make public appearances together, reinforcing their strong personal and professional bond, which many have described as one of mutual respect and shared ambition.
