Despite heavy rains, thousands of fans turned up in record numbers, with over 20,000 tickets reportedly sold — making it the most attended event ever at the venue.
By 4 PM, fans had started streaming in, and by 10 PM, the stadium was packed to capacity as Ray G took the stage for a thrilling performance that kept the crowd singing along to hits like Omusheshe, Eizooba, and Yoya.
The night also featured performances from Lydia Jazmine, Elijah Kitaka, MC Kacheche, and others, setting the mood for an unforgettable show.
“I’ve performed in many places, but nothing compares to performing in Mbarara. This concert is for my people,” Ray G said before performing.
Known for blending Afro-pop with Runyankole lyrics, Ray G’s music continues to promote love, unity, and real-life stories.
His previous concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval in May 2024 also drew massive crowds, solidifying his status as one of Uganda’s top live performers and inspiring emerging Western Ugandan artists like T-Paul and Omega 256.
