Musician Mukwaya Sentamu, famously known as Mike Wine, arrived at Serena Hotel over the weekend with what he described as hope, courage and faith—and he walked away with a resounding success.
The singer, who was celebrating 15 years in the Ugandan music industry, attracted a huge crowd of partiers from around Kampala who filled the Serena Hotel to celebrate his milestone.
Mike Wine thrilled the audience with an energetic live performance, sharing the stage with several fellow musicians. A surprise appearance by Bobi Wine sent the crowd into wild excitement as he joined the celebration with an unexpected performance.
In his emotional speech, Mike Wine praised Bobi Wine for the significant role he has played in his career and personal life.
“I love Bobi Wine so much and praise him for the good things he has done for me. He paid my school fees starting in high school, introduced me to the music industry and continues to guide me,” he said.
When he took the microphone, Bobi Wine thrilled fans with a freestyle rendition of his gospel collaboration with Wilson Bugembe, before performing his Kamwokya Dancehall riddim, receiving a standing ovation.
Bobi Wine also renewed his promise to “do better for the music industry” if elected as the President of Uganda, a statement that sparked loud cheers from the audience.
