Musician Kabako is reportedly heartbroken and furious after being blocked from performing at the highly anticipated Enkuuka Concert, held on Tuesday at Lubiri Palace in Mengo.

Sources at the venue reveal that Kabako arrived early and was fully prepared to entertain the massive crowd that had started filling the palace grounds as early as 10:00am. However, his excitement was cut short when security officials denied him access to the stage.

According to insiders, the decision was made after concerns that Kabako might politicise the event, despite earlier assurances from the artist that his performance would remain strictly non-political.

Kabako is well known for performing Bobi Wine’s music whenever he gets the chance, a reputation that appears to have raised red flags among organisers and security personnel.

The incident has since sparked debate online, with many fans questioning whether the move was justified or an unnecessary restriction on artistic expression.

The Enkuuka Concert, organised by the Buganda Kingdom, is an annual cultural celebration held every 31st December to welcome the New Year, drawing thousands of revellers from across the country.

This year’s event may have ended in fireworks and festivities — but for Kabako, it closed with frustration and unanswered questions.
