I Have Already Cleared Service Providers at Geosteady’s Concert – Abitex

Events promoter Abbey Musinguzi, popularly known as Abitex, has revealed that he has already settled all service providers for Geosteady’s upcoming concert, thanks to newly acquired government funding.

Abitex, who also serves as the President of Promoters in Uganda, is among the beneficiaries of over UGX 3 billion disbursed by the government to support and revive the events and entertainment industry.

Speaking about the impact of the funds, Abitex said he has already started putting the money to work.

“I have already put part of the money to use, and it is the same story with other promoters. I have cleared all service providers for Geosteady’s concert. This is the first event I am staging in years without running to money lenders,” he said.

Geosteady’s concert is scheduled for 14th February at Sheraton Hotel, Kampala, and will be held as a Valentine’s Day special.

The funds were issued to promoters through a SACCO arrangement, and beneficiaries are required to repay the money with a small interest.
