Minister Kasolo Blocked My Meeting With President Museveni – Lwasa

Masaka City tycoon and National Resistance Movement (NRM) supporter Emmanuel Lwasa has accused senior party leaders in Buganda region of blocking his attempts to meet President Yoweri Museveni.

Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Lwasa said he has repeatedly tried to secure a meeting with the President but claims his efforts have been frustrated by party leaders, particularly Minister Haruna Kasolo.

“I am very frustrated with NRM leaders in Buganda for blocking my meeting with the President. When the President was in Masaka, they played games until he left. I trusted Minister Kasolo and even gave him a letter to deliver to the President, but he let me down,” Lwasa said.

The businessman says his intention is not political, but economic. He revealed that he is currently facing financial difficulties and hoped a meeting with the President would help him seek support to revive his struggling businesses.

Lwasa called on party leaders to stop sidelining grassroots supporters and allow those in need direct access to the President.

So far, Minister Kasolo has not publicly responded to the allegations.
