Popular TikToker Luwilight has been further remanded to Luzira Prison until the 13th of this month over ongoing allegations of cyber harassment and related offences.
This comes despite recent comments by musician Bebe Cool, who publicly claimed that he had forgiven her, a statement that sparked debate on social media.
However, Luwilight’s defence lawyer has clarified that Bebe Cool has no legal authority to forgive or withdraw the case.
According to the lawyer, the only person with the power to settle or drop the case is Zuena Kirema, who is the main complainant.
“Any settlement can only happen if Kirema formally withdraws the case from court. This must be done in writing. Without formal documentation, the case cannot be treated as settled or pardoned, and this can only be done by the main complainant or through her lawyers,” the defence lawyer said.
The lawyer also argued that Luwilight’s continued detention is excessive, noting that she has already spent a long time on remand for an offence that does not warrant prolonged imprisonment.
Luwilight was arrested on January 12, 2026, and initially detained at Kira Police Station before being transferred to Luzira Prison, where she remains as court proceedings continue.
