Former presidential candidate Munyagwa Mubarak Sserunga has thrown his weight behind the arrest of TikTokers who misuse social media, it has emerged.

The outspoken politician has in recent days faced backlash from several TikTokers who, together with singer King Saha, have allegedly ganged up against him with verbal artillery.

Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Munyagwa made it clear that he is not ready to tolerate online attacks going forward and believes abusive content creators should face the law.

“I support the arrest of TikTokers who misuse social media. They want to catch up with everything and have become a problem. They should face the law to understand their mistakes,” he explained.

His comments come at a time two popular TikTokers, Luwilight and Pressure 24/7, remain behind bars over cases linked to alleged social media abuse.
