Dancehall musician Vyper Ranking has expressed dissatisfaction with the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) SACCO, claiming it does not serve the wider music community.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Vyper Ranking said he has no expectations from the SACCO, arguing that it mainly benefits a select group of musicians.
According to him, the support system appears to favor artists closely associated with Eddy Kenzo, particularly those linked to Big Talent Entertainment.
“I don’t expect anything from the UNMF SACCO. It hasn’t been helpful to many musicians. It seems to benefit only a few of Kenzo’s friends and colleagues in Big Talent,” he said.
Vyper Ranking joins a growing number of artists, including Bebe Cool, Ziza Bafana, King Saha, and Fefe Bussi, who have publicly raised concerns about the management and distribution of funds within the federation.
