Sandra Tetta has come to the defense of her husband, singer Weasel, following recent criticism surrounding his alleged treatment at the vigil of late musician Master Parrot.

Earlier this week, reports emerged claiming that Weasel was chased away from the vigil in Kiwatule. The allegations suggested that some individuals objected to his presence because he was wearing yellow attire, which many often associate with the ruling NRM party.

The singer has since found himself at the center of public debate, with critics weighing in on the incident.

Responding to the controversy, Sandra Tetta urged people to stop attacking Weasel and instead recognize his contributions to Uganda's music industry.

“Weasel deserves respect despite the mistakes which have come his way. He is a man who has done so many good things for the industry. Wearing yellow doesn't simply mean one supports NRM,” she said.

Sandra acknowledged that, like many public figures, Weasel has had his share of challenges and controversies over the years. However, she argued that these should not overshadow the positive impact he has made throughout his career.

The comments come as discussions continue on social media about the circumstances surrounding Weasel's presence at the vigil and the role political perceptions may have played in the incident.

Weasel remains one of Uganda's most celebrated musicians, having achieved success both as a member of the Goodlyfe duo alongside the late Mowzey Radio and as a solo artist.
