Musician Kalifah Aganaga has spent almost fifteen years in the music industry and continues to evolve with it.

Aganaga has called upon current Ugandan musicians to look beyond social media when it comes to music promotion and distribution.

He explained that many artists have become too lazy and overly dependent on TikTok for promotion, a trend he believes is negatively affecting the music industry.

"Artists need to look beyond social media. Many have grown lazy and too dependent on TikTok. It is actually affecting the industry. It is the reason we are getting half-baked music. They are sleeping instead of creating music. They don't spend time outside trying to promote their music," he explained during an interview with a local television station.

Aganaga believes that for an artist to build a strong legacy, they must look beyond TikTok and create timeless music that can stand the test of time.
