Singer Irene Namatovu has opened up about her passion for raising children, saying motherhood goes beyond biological ties and should be embraced as a shared responsibility within society.

Speaking during an interview with a local television station, Namatovu said caring for children who are not biologically hers has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of her life.

The singer revealed that she has helped raise several children from her co-wife's family and takes pride in the role she played in shaping their lives.

"I am happy that I took care of and raised children who belonged to my co-wife, and none of them has disappointed me. They are well educated and living good lives today. I believe I am about 80% responsible for the good life they are enjoying," she partly explained.

Namatovu said seeing the children grow into responsible and successful adults has given her great satisfaction.

She encouraged women to embrace motherhood beyond biological relationships, arguing that every child deserves love, guidance, and support regardless of who gave birth to them.

According to the singer, raising children should be viewed as a collective responsibility that helps build stronger families and communities.
