Bleaching is basically the whitening of the skin by use of chemicals. It’s very trendy and most women can’t stop changing their skin. It’s believed that Brown women are more attractive and nice looking.
In Jamaica, male dancehall artiste, Adidja Azim Palmer, popularly known as Vybz Kartel changed his skin colour to sell his own bleaching cream Cake soap which left most his music fans stunned across the globe. Below is a list of local celebrities that have bleached.
Sheeba Karungi
The singer has had a chocolate colour while she was still a member of Obsessions dance group. When she became famous, she started changing her skin colour. The ‘Akuse’ star is turning into purple and you can clearly see her red veins on the skin; the bleaching creams must be burning out the melanin.
Rema Namakula
When she sang Cease and sickle jam featuring Bebe Cool in 2012, she was dark and beautiful. When she left Gagamel, she started bleaching. However, her bleaching is not too much and she can still stop.
Bad Black
She tops the list of women who have totally changed their skin colour. "If you look at the Bad black of 2016 and that of 2013, who is better, am now a beautiful girl” she once said in an interview. Bad Black spends millions of money to bleach her skin.
Irene Ntale
If you’re a fan of Irene Ntale, you must have noticed a consistent change in her skin colour. Ntale has denied bleaching her skin over and again. She claims she uses expensive skin Vaselines.
Spice Diana
Singer Namukwaya Diana commonly known as Spice Diana is another babe that uses bleaching creams. The young singer and student of Industrial Art at Makerere University is passionate about being fashion forward and we guess bleaching was on the bucket list.
