Mbarara town is all painted blue, with business people looking forward to closing their shops earlier than the usual time, as the Forum for Democratic Change, FDC Party presidential candidate Dr. Kiiza Besigye campaigns in the area today.
Dr. Besigye is today holding rallies at Mwizi, Bugamba, Buteraniro, Kinoni, Rubindi, Bwizibwera, Biharwe, and crown the day with his main rally at Mbarara Boma grounds at 3:30PM.
Pictures taken around the major town of western Uganda show a crazy feeling as traders painted their stalls with Besigye’s posters, and Boda Boda riders moved around rallying people to attend the big campaign rally.
Besigye has been given a hero’s welcome in the whole of western Uganda that he even held a rally in Igorora at 8:25PM on Friday due to people’s pleas.
Besigye is accompanied by other opposition figures including Hon. Geoffrey Ekanya, Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, and may others.
