DPC Kirumira Promises to Deal with Criminals in Kampala

Newly appointed old Kampala DPC ASP Kirumira Muhammad has promised to do wonders and miracles that no other officer has done at his new posting.

Kirumira, commonly known to locals as Mwoyo gwa gwanga was transferred from Bwera division to Old Kampala in the latest police reshuffle by the IGP Kale Kayihura.

Immediately after receiving the news, Kirumira rushed to his Facebook page and promised to enhance efficiency through community interactions, door to door visits, radio programs, village meetings, consultation with local leaders and many other ways.

According to the DPC, this will help obtain intelligence information that leads to arrest of actual suspects, which promotes public confidence, and reduces complaints.

“We shall enhance efficiency thru community interactions,door to door visits,radio programmes,village meetings,consultation with local leaders, etc in order to obtain intelligence information that leads to arrest actual suspects,which promotes public confidence,and reduces complaints,” Kirumira wrote.

The reshuffle only affected officers in the Rwenzori region in the aftermath of clashes between police and civilians. At least all senior police officers have been replaced.
